PREMISE & TREATMENT FOR "SOUTH LOOP" PROJECT

Consult Michael Rabiger's excellent overview of the development process and his guidelines on developing a premise and treatment. Write both the premise and the treatment before you edit anything. Examples: the first file, below, is the original premise and treatment for the South Loop project. Read it to familiarize yourself with the producer's original intent. The second file is an example of a premise and treatment for the South Loop Project by editing student Chris Svihra. It has a very different POV from the original. Use these as samples, along with the overview and guidelines, above, to develop your own POV for each film.
