expands the photographer's competence with digital tools that manipulate and enhance photographic images. The goal is to achieve the digital mastery that will out-perform any analog printing process. In addition to covering advanced image retoucing and manipulation techniques, new software applications are introduced as complementary creative tools to Photoshop. These applications include single and multiple page layout programs, vector-based texts/graphics, and specialized retouching skills. Emphasis is placed on creating an extended project based on the integration of these new tools and supported by critical and theoretical readings and research.
